Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis Upgrades — Planning Your Build

The official release description distinguishes individual hero and spell upgrade trees from global tower upgrades that can be retuned between stages. Keep those layers separate when you compare builds or read older advice.

Record the setup before testing

Write down the selected heroes, towers and spells together with the relevant upgrade choices. Record platform, difficulty and game version as well. Without those details, two players may appear to use the same army while actually testing different configurations.

An upgrade guide should explain the problem it is solving. A choice intended for one enemy or mode is not necessarily the best use of resources everywhere.

Change one variable at a time

Our suggested comparison method is to replay a familiar stage with one deliberate change. Note whether the first failure occurs earlier or later, whether a different lane needs attention, and whether the change creates a new weakness.

If you simultaneously change the hero pair, tower loadout and every upgrade, it becomes difficult to know which adjustment helped. A narrow experiment is easier to learn from than a complete rebuild after every loss.

Consult the upgrade text in your installed game for exact effects, costs and prerequisites. We have not verified a universal upgrade purchase order or reset cost, and do not list either as fact. Demo-era videos can provide ideas, but their menus and mechanics need to be compared against the release build.
